Community Leadership Academy

Want to know more about Lubbock ISD and how we operate? Curious about how school finance and how it affects you, our students, and our employees? Wondering what's happening inside the school buildings every day? Answers to these questions and more are available by participating in the upcoming class of Lubbock ISD's Community Leadership Academy. Parents and community members with the desire to learn more about the structure and operations of Lubbock ISD can do so by committing to an eight-month journey that will provide a look inside our district.

The program, consisting of seven sessions and a graduation ceremony, convenes once a month from October through May at locations around the district. Participants will interact with students and teachers, tour district facilities, visit with district administrators and staff, and see firsthand how Lubbock ISD works. For the investment of time, participants have the opportunity to interact with leaders and decision makers in Lubbock ISD, and will graduate with a wealth of knowledge about the district.

The 2024-2025 Community Leadership Academy will meet on the following dates from 8 a.m. - 12 p.m.:

  • October 3, 2024
