Middle and high school students have the option of participating in several college and career tests offered through Lubbock ISD academic programs. These tests provide data and resources to foster college and career (College and Career Readiness - CCR) readiness skills.
Students are considered college and career ready when they have the knowledge, skills, and academic preparation needed to enroll and succeed in introductory college credit-bearing courses within an associate or baccalaureate degree program without the need for remediation. These same attributes and levels of achievement are needed for entry into and success in postsecondary workforce education or directly into a job that offers gainful employment and career advancement. Examples of CCR tests are ACT, ASVAB, College Board SAT Suite of Assessments (PSAT 8/9, PSAT/NMSQT, and SAT), and TSIA.
