Suicide Prevention Program
In order to meet the Suicide Prevention requirements, outlined in Senate Bill 11 Sec. 25.0815(a)(B)(iii), the district has partnered with their STOPit! Anonymous Reporting System to develop videos related to recognizing suicide-related risk factors and warning signs.
In the videos below, students will learn how to establish and maintain positive relationships, how to recognize signs and signals of suicidal ideation, how to talk to their friends that are struggling and how to get help immediately by talking to a trusted adult.
These videos will be played at every campus in the district, prior to September 1st each school year, as part of our overall Safe and Supportive Schools Program.
Students participate in Safety and Security Training at the beginning of each semester.
Students in Grades 6-12 also have Suicide Prevention Resources on the back of their student ID badge.
