Last Thursday morning the Board of Trustees recognized over 20 student-athletes, musicians, and business leaders at the beginning of the meeting.
Texas High School Coaches Association (THSCA) and Texas Sports Writers Association (TSWA) selected students for their All-State Teams. The THSCA Academic All-State designation recognizes student-athletes with outstanding performance in the classroom. The TSWA All-State designation recognizes students for outstanding athletic performance.
Eight Lubbock ISD band and choir students recently earned all-state honors. Seven students earned recognition from the Texas Music Educators
Association (TMEA) and one student earned the honor from the Association of Texas Small School Bands (ATSSB).
Coronado High School had a strong showing at the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Area 1 Competition on Wednesday, January 31. Five students qualified to compete at the 2024 State Leadership Conference in April in Galveston.
