students together for competition

Last Wednesday, 300 middle school students grouped up and competed through different tasks, tests, and challenges at the Science Spectrum for the annual Career Technical Education (CTE) Science Technology Engineering Mathematics (STEM) Challenge.

For the past six years, middle schools have brought groups of students to compete in this district-wide CTE challenge to test students’ problem-solving, teamwork, and creativity skills while working with other middle schoolers from different campuses. This year's final Ping Pong Challenge winners were Evans MS in third, Hutchinson MS in second, and Atkins MS taking home first place. The Storm Drain Challenge, which had a mix of students from different campuses had eight representatives from the ten attending campuses.
