My name is Ryan Rodriquez and I have the privilege of being the Principal at Atkins Middle School. The principal position at Atkins Middle School has been nothing short of amazing as I embarked on getting to know all 600 Tornados. At Atkins, our mission is to embrace and develop our diverse community to become lifelong leaders and scholars who matter. In every aspect of the school community, our staff seeks to ensure we are providing our Tornados with the best opportunities to be successful in any endeavor they have. 

I began my career in education with Roswell ISD in Roswell, NM as a classroom teacher and coach. In 2012, my wife and I moved to Lubbock, TX, where I began my career with Lubbock ISD serving as a 8th Grade Social Studies Teacher and Coach at OL Slaton Middle School. For the last 6 years, I served as an Assistant Principal at Preston Smith Elementary and, most recently, Cavazos Middle School. My journey with Lubbock ISD has been enriching and I'm eager to take what I have learned along the way to continue the great success and accomplishments here at Atkins Middle School. 

I'd like to encourage all of our parents, community members, and other stakeholders to partner with us Atkins to ensure we are meeting the needs of our Tornados and community. I'm excited to serve as your Principal and want to continue the great foundation laid before me.
