Dr. Gabe Gillespie

I am honored to be the new principal of Centennial Elementary. I have been in administration for 12 years and Centennial is my third campus as a Principal, having served at both the secondary and elementary levels. I look forward to leading the way to continue to make Centennial a great place for all stakeholders to experience success.

Sara Alvarez

I began my career in education as a Kindergarten teacher in LubbockISD, where I developed a passion for teaching young learners how to read.  After twelve years in the classroom, I became an instructional literacy coach, where I helped and supported teachers in applying best instructional practices. I joined the Centennial family in 2019 as the assistant principal and am honored to continue to serve our students and families as we work to fulfill our mission.

Debbie Vasquez

I am very excited to be joining the Centennial team as the assistant principal. I started my educational journey in 2012 and have worked at Parsons, Whiteside, Roberts, and Alderson Elementary Schools. I am a product of Lubbock ISD, having attended Hodges Elementary, Atkins Middle School, and graduated from Dunbar High School in its last graduating class. My husband and I have two handsome sons who also attended Lubbock ISD schools. When I am not at school, I enjoy reading, going to the lake, and spending time with family.
