Associate Principal - Katina Carlile

I am thrilled to be kicking off my 22nd year in education at Coronado High School!

I started this journey in 2001 at Crosbyton High School, where I taught Biology, IPC, and Anatomy for six years. The time I spent in the classroom opened my eyes to the importance of social-emotional learning, which led me right back to college to earn my Masters of Education in School Counseling. I served as a school counselor for the past 12 years, both at Atkins Middle School and at Monterey High School.

While at Monterey, I also served as the AVID Coordinator, which provided me with a multitude of opportunities to work directly with teachers. This time, my eyes were opened to the value and payoff that comes with supporting teachers and prioritizing instruction. After another year of college to earn my principal certification, I now know that I am in the perfect position to effectively support both students and teachers.

I am really excited to begin my 5th year at CHS and am confident this is going to be a fantastic year!
