Principal - Chris Huber
I am thrilled to be the principal at Coronado High School, a school with a tradition of excellence! I enter my second year at CHS this fall, after having served 16 years as principal of Atkins Middle School in Lubbock ISD. I began my career as a Spanish teacher before transitioning to the role of social studies teacher.
Our motto at CHS is "We Are Coronado" and this reflects our vision that we exist to serve EVERY child, insuring her/his academic growth as well as providing quality fine arts, CTE, IB Career, AP Capstone, agricultural, athletic, and family and consumer science programming. CHS is diverse in its student and staff demographics, in its course offerings, and in its successes.
CHS attracts students from throughout Lubbock ISD and also serves many students who transfer into Lubbock ISD from other school districts. With an accomplished staff, an outstanding student body, and a significant legacy, Coronado produces graduates who are the future of our community, our region, our state, our nation, and our world.
