I am so honored to be the principal of Hardwick Elementary and look forward to serving our students and families. This year I will begin my 26th year in education and have served in a variety of roles during this time. Before entering administration, I served as a school counselor and taught kindergarten and third grade.  I am passionate about cultivating a supportive learning environment where students can be successful in their social, emotional, and academic lives. My number one goal is to help students feel cared for, capable, and connected.  I am here to support students, parents, families, and teachers any way I can. 

When I’m not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family. I have two grown children and one grandson. We love to travel and could spend all summer at the beach.  I also like going to Texas Tech football games and love when I can see the Texas Rangers play baseball.

Mrs. Ashley Vorndran

Ashley Vorndran is the assistant principal of Hardwick Elementary.  She loves working with the outstanding students and devoted staff members of Hardwick.  Ashley has a variety of teaching experiences in teaching 2nd & 3rd grade, intervention, and working in elementary administration.  

She received her Bachelors Degree in Human Development and Family Studies and has a  Post-Bac Certificate in Elementary Education, a Masters in Elementary Education, and a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from Texas Tech University. 

Ashley and her husband Jon have 3 children Harper, Hunter, and Hadley.  When not at school she loves cheering on the Red Raiders and spending time with friends and family.  She loves working with the students here at Hardwick and we are blessed to have her.
