I am honored to be the principal at Rush Elementary. I have been with LISD since starting my educational career in 2009 and I love being a part of such a supportive district.

I have my Bachelor's in Early Childhood from Texas Tech University and a masters degree in Administrative Leadership. I started my career teaching 1st grade at Bayless Elementary. I continued teaching at Wolffarth and transitioned to the RLA instructional coach. I then began my leadership journey as the assistant principal at Ervin Elementary and Waters Elementary. I am excited to begin my first year as principal at Rush and be a Rush roadrunner!

I have an amazing husband Merce, my son Madden and my daughter Maisyn. In our spare time, we enjoy playing games, watching movies, and spending time with our fur babies Max, Milo, and Marley Elsa.

I am honored to be serving you as the Assistant Principal of Rush. I have been in Lubbock ISD for over 7 years. I taught 5th grade Math & Science at Wolffarth Elementary and transitioned to their instructional coach in 2023. Prior to my time in Lubbock, I worked in Midland ISD and Navarro ISD. In addition to my years as a math teacher, I also have a background in Special Education. I hold a Bachelor's degree in English and a Masters in Educational Leadership from Texas Tech.

I have a wonderful husband, Logan, and two daughters. Ava graduated from Monterey in May and will be attending Texas Tech this fall. Colbi will be a junior at Monterey. We also have two dogs, Buzz and Lenny. Outside of school, our family enjoys running, reading, cooking, gardening, and going to the movies.

I genuinely love people and learning. I am so excited to be a part of the Rush family. We are going to have an amazing year together!
