Community Leadership Academy ➡️ Session 6 Today our Community Leadership Academy was able to speak with officers of the school board, learn about school finances, as well as how to stay informed and involved with public education. #WeAreLubbockISD

✨ Today is World Down Syndrome Day! ✨ Students and staff from Hardwick and Whiteside elementary schools wore their craziest socks to help bring awareness and celebrate some of their classmates! Did you know that people with Down Syndrome have three copies of their 21st chromosome? Socks were chosen because the karyotype of that chromosome actually looks like mismatched socks! #WeAreLubbockISD

On Tuesday afternoon, we hosted our first Superintendent Roundtable for 2024! Thank you to our community partners, staff members, and trustees who came to learn and discuss all things Lubbock ISD. 🤩 A special shout-out to the Goodwill Resource Center for hosting us. Kindergarten students at Bayless Elementary have been learning about Texas! 🐴🪻They traveled down the halls, led by their very own Stephen F. Austin, to tell their fourth-grade friends about it and read them the horse stories they'd written.
