The Lubbock HS NJROTC hosted their annual military inspection this morning with a prominent display for their families, district leadership team, and NJROTC area manager. The cadets ran the performance with little guidance and performed their drills to perfection! #WeAreLubbockISD










The Lubbock Professional Fire Fighters Association continued their generous coat donation to students at McWhorter Elementary School this morning as part of their Operation Warm program. Our middle school students put their skills to the test in our annual CTE STEM challenge last Friday! Students competed in engineering challenges and also had the chance to tour the Science Spectrum. What a cool experience for our kids! 🔭🚀🧮 #WeAreLubbockISD









Over 20 Lubbock ISD students showcased their skills at the 14th annual Lubbock Regional Spanish Spelling Bee Championship! 🐝🏆 A huge congratulations to Yesnaily Martínez and Dylan Jiménez from Atkins MS for earning 1st and 2nd place, and Olinka Bárragan from Hutchinson MS for taking 3rd! These outstanding students are headed to the national competition in Albuquerque, NM, June 2025! 🎉 #WeAreLubbockISD

At today's board meeting, Lubbock ISD board members were proud to recognize the winners from the 2024 Holiday Card Art Contest and our first Lubbock ISD FFA national title winner! The Holiday Card Art Contest student artwork demonstrates exceptional creativity and artistic skills from our students, and Talkington SYWL senior Amarachi Uche-Eboh's accomplishment highlights the exceptional agricultural programs we are proud to have in our district. Students from Estacado HS paid a visit to the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center’s F. Marie Hall SimLife Center as part of “Docs for a Day,” an outreach activity conducted by the TTUHSC Student National Medical Association (SNMA). This simulation allowed students to learn about skills and components used in an emergency room. The SNMA works with schools and the community to provide a positive experience and get students interested in the medical profession. We want to give a special thank you to the Lubbock Professional Fire Fighters Association for their generous donation of coats to our students at Brown Elementary School this morning. Since 2013, more than 10,000 coats have been donated to students across the district as part of this Operation Warm program. We also want to thank the Lady Raiders Basketball team for their support and dedication to our students! #WeAreLubbockISD

Representatives from Lubbock ISD-TV hosted a lunch-n-learn at Dunbar College Preparatory Academy to show students the audio/visual production scene. Students worked the cameras and participated in creating a commercial for their school. Our Career and Technical Education programs provide a vast array of different career paths available to students in Lubbock ISD! #WeAreLubbockISD










Our Monterey HS and Atkins MS students hosted a statewide Project Lead the Way showcase at Monterey HS this week, where representatives from other districts heard about their STEM projects and student achievements. Students shared their journey from middle school to high school and how PLTW is preparing them for a career in the STEM field! #WeAreLubbockISD
