We wrapped up this morning's board meeting recognitions honoring the Lady Warriors. For the second time in school history, Talkington School for Young Women Leaders was named a 2023 National Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Department of Education. Only 29 schools in Texas and 353 nationally earned this distinction. We're so proud of the Lady Warriors for all of their outstanding work! #WeAreLubbockISD

We'd like to congratulate two special staff members on some incredible awards! Congratulations to the Byron Martin Advanced Technology Center's Mr. Brandon Grace for being named the ACTE National Trade and Industrial Teacher of the Year, and to Lubbock High School's Dr. Tim Doty for being named a National Speech and Debate Association Diamond Award Winner! #WeAreLubbockISD
