Students from the Lubbock Fire Rescue's Fire Academy participated in the 2024 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb at Texas Tech's Jones AT&T Stadium. Students gathered at 5:30AM and put on their official fire fighting gear in order to honor the lives lost on that fateful day.
Taking part in the Fire Academy is just another way Lubbock ISD provides career-ready opportunities for our students. These seniors are learning life-saving skills while finishing their high school careers.
We are proud of these students for what they do each and every day - but especially at this momentous event. We will never forget!
