Families & Students
While most classrooms are full of engaged learners and active participants, there are occasions when the academic environment is interrupted by disruptive student behaviors. By using a non-threatening visual cue, the teacher is reminding the student that he or she is not meeting the expectation. If necessary, the student is given the opportunity for reflection. Through this, the student should be able to identify his or her current need and use this as a form of safe communication with the classroom teacher. It is our campus goal to protect instructional minutes for all students and to redirect disruptions as quickly as possible while continuing to build positive relationships with all stakeholders.
