History of the U.S. & Western Civilization

My name is Cody Lass and 2022-2023 will be my sixth year at Estacado High School. I currently teach the dual credit history courses as part of the Early College High School Program and before that, served as a graduate student, teaching assistant, and instructor at Texas Tech University. I earned my bachelor’s degree from Texas State University, my master’s degree from Texas Tech University, and I plan to finish my Ph.D. dissertation during the upcoming academic year. During my time as a graduate student at Tech, I was fortunate to learn from many great professors and had opportunities to spend time doing research at the British National Archives in the greater London area and as a research fellow at the Lewis Walpole Library at Yale University. In addition to teaching at EECHS, I also continue to teach an online course at Tech. Estacado has been a great place to work because I get to teach the best students in Lubbock!
