🌍Today is Earth day! We celebrate our planet and the small actions each of us can take to make a lasting difference! 🌱#WeAreLubbockISD

It's school library month! This month, we're celebrating the incredible impact of school libraries and libraries who inspire a love of reading and learning every day. 📖❤️These safe spaces are where students explore new worlds through books, explore their interests and curiosity. We are so thankful for all of our staff who work to care for our students every day in this way. 🌍✨ #WeAreLubbockISD

Today is Autism Awareness Day! 💙 It's a day to highlight the importance of improving the quality of life for individuals with autism, so they can lead full, meaningful lives as an integral part of society. 🌟 A diagnosis can be the key for many individuals to understand themselves better and how they interact with the world around them. Let’s continue to support, understand, and embrace the diversity of every individual.

Did you know that there are three kinds of people in the world? Here they are: people who can count and people who can’t! Jokes aside, April is Math Awareness Month, which aims to increase public understand and appreciation of mathematics. Math isn’t just something we do in schools. It’s a part of everyday life. Here’s to finding the joy and purpose in the subject of math this month! 🎉 #WeAreLubbockISD

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month. 🟦 It's a time for all of us to come together to strengthen families to prevent abuse and neglect. Within the Lubbock community, we are lucky to have amazing local resources dedicated to protecting children and supporting families:
Children's Advocacy Center of the South Plains (CACSP)
The Parenting Cottage
Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS)
If you suspect child abuse, please call the DFPS hotline at 1-800-252-5400.
Let’s continue to raise awareness, educate, and work together to create safe environments for every child, every day. #WeAreLubbockISD

🚨📢 Your Input Matters! 📢🚨
The Lubbock ISD Office of Innovation is excited to launch a new survey as part of our inaugural Vision Week! 🎉 From October 7 to October 18, we’re gathering input on middle school choices and options to help shape the future of our district. Your feedback will play a vital role in improving our research and exploring a wider range of options for our students.
The information gathered will be used in:
✅ Our district’s quality seats analysis
✅ Researching future school action grants
✅ Community focus groups
We encourage families with students in grades 5-8, students in grades 5–8, and faculty and staff serving these grade levels to participate. Your voice is essential in helping us build better opportunities for our students!
