My name is Stacey Stephens, and I am PROUD to be a Roscoe Wilson Wrangler!!  I am beyond honored and excited to be the principal of this historically phenomenal school.

I am a Lubbock native and a product of Lubbock ISD. I attended Bayless, Nat Williams, and Haynes Elementary Schools and then Hutch and Lubbock High! My mother and aunt grew up in a precious house a few blocks from Roscoe Wilson, where they attended Kindergarten through 6th grade. They are thrilled for me to call Roscoe Wilson my home.

After 30 years in LISD, I can honestly say that I’ve never had a job I didn’t love. I have served as an elementary teacher and counselor, middle school counselor, IB MYP Coordinator, Hutch MS Assistant Principal, Roscoe Wilson Assistant Principal, and now Roscoe Wilson Principal, or Head of School as the IB describes it.

God has also blessed me with a precious family. My husband and I have been married for 22 years and have 2 children. He also works for LISD. Our son is a graduate of Lubbock High and a sophomore at Texas Tech. My daughter attends LHS. I’m happy to say that we are Lubbock ISD all the way!

The loving staff of Roscoe Wilson and I invite you in for a fantastic experience!

Mrs. Bekah Herron

Hello Wranglers! My name is Bekah Herron and I love Roscoe Wilson Elementary with my whole heart! Roscoe Wilson is historically known for educating and growing the whole child to be an active, compassionate and lifelong learner. I am so thankful that I get to be a part of this incredible work!

I am originally from Cypress, Texas but moved to Lubbock to attend Texas Tech University. I taught Pre-Kindergarten in Levelland before moving with my husband to Huntsville, Texas. I taught 3rd grade in Huntsville ISD and then moved to 1st grade in Conroe ISD. We quickly learned that we missed Lubbock and were not made to endure humidity and traffic. That was when I began my journey with Lubbock ISD. I taught 1st grade and 3rd grade at Preston Smith Elementary, became an Instructional Coach at Wheelock Elementary, and was the Data Specialist at Dunbar College Preparatory Academy. Through this time, I received my Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from Texas Tech University and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Lubbock Christian University.

My sweet husband and I love raising our two children in Lubbock. The Roscoe Wilson community is amazing and I am blessed to be a part of it.

It is going to be a fantastic year!
