If you could give your twenty-one-year-old self one piece one piece of advice, what would it be?
Time really is a thief. It seems like at this age, you will have all the time in the world but you will truly blink your eyes and time will have passed so take the time to truly enjoy. The little things are the big things.
If you could have dinner with one person, who would you choose, and why?
My mama and daddy and sister who have passed away. I miss them first of all. I always appreciated them but losing them made me appreciate them even more. I would love even just 1 more dinner.
What advice would you like to give to the Dupre graduates?
Either you define your moments or your moments define you (I stole that quote and love it). Define your moments. My wish for them all is to have choice. I may not agree with every choice they make but I want to do everything I can to prepare them mentally, emotionally, academically, socially so that they have CHOICES and are not limited by the lack of having choice. Then I just want them to have a plan and define their moments.
