THS Mock Trial had a big win last night as they took all 3 judges ballots on Defense! Outstanding Witness went to Noura Islam and Ella Christianson. Catherine Lituania received two votes and Briley Harrison received a vote for Outstanding Advocates. We are so proud of them! They work so hard to prepare for this with their teacher, Mr. Butler. Way to go, Warriors!
Tonight they take on the state's case. Go out to support them at the Lubbock County Courthouse at 5:00pm. Free entertainment at its finest! If you've never been, you will be absolutely amazed.

Gamma Gamma Phi is extending the Talkington book donation drive until February 14th. If you have books at home that you no longer want or need, donate them to the Talkington Library.
A few details you should know:
- The donation bins are in the cafeteria
- The donation bins are separated into Middle School and High School to keep track of the donation count
- Whichever group donates more books, middle school or high school, will be awarded a sweats day on the first full dress Wednesday after AE day
- The top donation prize will be announced on AE Day, which will also mark the last day of the drive
Books should be in good to very good condition, without rips, writing, or other damage. Hardback books are highly preferred, as they can withstand more wear and tear. Books should be appropriate for the school's grade levels and curriculum. If there are already multiple copies of a book in our collection, it may not be accepted. Any books not accepted by the Talkington library will be donated to the Lubbock Public Library.
