Overwatch is a team-based shooter where two squads of five players go head-to-head in fast-paced battles to capture objectives, escort payloads, and control key areas in King of the Hill-style matches. Set in a futuristic Earth, the game features heroes with incredible, almost god-like abilities. You can play as an astrophysicist turned living weapon, rain destruction from the skies in jet-powered armor, or even roll into battle in a superpowered hamster ball! Each hero brings a unique set of powerful abilities and a backstory that adds to the rich and evolving lore of the Overwatch universe.
There are three roles to choose from: Tank, Damage, and Support. In both Quick Play and Competitive modes, teams are made up of two tanks, two damage dealers, and two supports. Each character within these roles has unique abilities and playstyles, so building a balanced team that fits the current and ever-changing META is key to success in Overwatch.
