Developed by Nintendo, Splatoon 3 is a third-person shooter. It's the follow-up to Splatoon for the Wii U In 2015. It was published on Nintendo Switch on September 8, 2022.

Splatoon 3 is a 4v4 multiplayer game where you ink the map as much as possible before times up (3mins). There are different ranked modes which is Rainmaker, Tower Control, and more! League is a duo or squad rank room so you and your friends can enjoy games together. Salmon run is a PVE mode against salmonids where you collect and protect eggs from the enemies.

The Nintendo Switch expands portable and local multiplayer gaming options. For local multiplayer, there will be other options outside private matches, although only Private Battle Spectator View and LAN Play have been mentioned. Splatoon 3 may be synced with the Nintendo Switch mobile app for extra multiplayer options including voice chat, match scheduling, etc.

Splatoon 3 takes place about two years after the first game's climactic Splatfest event, in which pop star "Marie" triumphed against her cousin and fellow Squid Sister "Callie". While the two girls appear to carry on as usual following the incident, the normally inseparable cousins begin to spend more and more time apart as their solo careers grow.
