May 1st is National School Principal Day - Happy National School Principal Day! We're so grateful for the leadership that our principals give to our students and staff! Big shout out to Mrs. Wadley for being amazing!

🌸May is Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month🌸 - This month we celebrate the contributions and influence of Asian Americans and Pacific Islander Americans to the history, culture, and achievements of the United States.

Today, our administrators' networking class transplanted their vegetables to the courtyard! These learners started their vegetables from seed, with the hopes of donating food in the future! 🥕🍅🥦

Mrs. Lara and Mrs. Deshazo are continuing to read Summer of the Mariposas as part of their project. For this chapter, our facilitators provided their learners some sweet bread (pan dulce) like the characters eat in the story. The moment it is revealed that the main characters have been put to sleep by a sorceresses pan dulce, our learners made a connection and realized they were tricked by their facilitators! #McCoolAcademy #AboveandBeyond

What a special surprise! We would like to congratulate Jude Colbert, David Ysasaga, and Thomis Duncan as they finished third in the South Plains Open Chess Tournament with Texas Tech Chess! Way to go Astronauts!

This morning our 6th Grade Band Astronauts performed at Coronado High School in the Irons Invitational Music Festival! 🎶 What an AMAZING job they did! So thrilled about yhe next TWO years they have here at McCool Academy under the direction of Mr. Gregg and Ms. Valdez.
