McCool Academy

Learners are working on their PBL project which relates to how graphic design plays an important role in website development. Learners were working on creating their vision boards. While doing so, Mrs. Cozart was able to provide individualized feedback and differentiation to all of her learners!

April 15th-19th is Public School Volunteer Week. We are so thankful for the powerful contributions parents and caregivers provide at school and home to support student success!

McCool Academy will be at Lubbock Arts Festival this weekend! Be sure to stop by our booth! We are passing out STEAM activity bags for families. Kids can choose from creating flowers, a slime activity, or building a catapult! We would love for you to stop by! The event is at the Civic Center from 10:00am-6:00pm today and 12:00pm-5:00pm tomorrow! Also, many of our Astronauts have their artwork on display! You won't want to miss it! 👩‍🚀🚀🎨

McCool Academy wrapped up day 2 of the Zone meet with our Astronauts competing in the field events. Like day 1 on the track, our Astronauts set some new personal bests! We are so proud of all of our athletes, and we can't wait to cheer on our county qualifiers next week! #McCoolAcademy #aboveandbeyond

Mr. Gregg provided our astronauts the opportunity to practice their band solos for an audience! The audience consisted of parents, class members, and an outside judge! Our musicians were able to receive quality feedback on their solos for Band Solo and Ensemble!

April 7th - 13th is National Library Week - Libraries extend far beyond the four walls of a building - and everyone is welcome to use their services! Happy Library Week! Did you know? Libraries are shifting and changing how they operate. They are expanding their services, aiming to become meeting places, areas of collaboration, family engagement, and growth. Stop by your public library to see what awesome and FREE services they have to offer. Don't forget to also check in with your campus librarian for any information on technology, events, or literacy activities.

We got to celebrate our Astronauts who demonstrated the most growth on their IXL math data over spring break! Our 7th grade Astronauts presented their Earth Shakers and Fuel Finders projects this week in class. Each group had the opportunity to assess their audience following their presentation and then reflect upon their project when it was completed! Great job Astronauts! #McCoolAcademy #aboveandbeyond

Our LEGO GEARS robotics students had their gears turning this afternoon at the robotics competition! They had a great time, worked so hard, and met many students from around the area! ⚙️🤖🚀
